There is a lot of confusion around the new proposed Speculation Tax and  the amendment to the current Non-Resident Tax.

  • The  Non-Resident Tax of 20% on all real estate purchases for Non-Residents of Canada does not apply to Whistler, B.C.
  • The new Speculation Tax proposed by the NDP Government, at this time, does not apply to Whistler, B.C.
  • With all of the surrounding confusion and uncertainty in the market, we may see an influx of properties hit the market from Non-Res owners in Whistler.
